❤️ More Than Just Lights: Supporting a Heartwarming Cause!
Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to giving rescued horses and donkeys a second chance at a happy life.
This is a donation-based fundraiser!
Every contribution helps us with the care and upkeep of these wonderful animals. Your DONATIONS are greatly appreciated, allowing us to continue our mission to rescue equines and give them a second chance to just be a horse.
Meet Our Equines: Our rescues are older, injured, or retired horses and donkeys, many of whom were owner surrenders or saved from the kill pen. They are not riding horses, but they are absolutely wonderful and love attention!
Learn Their Stories: You can read about our incredible rescues here on the sanctuary: https://www.hayburrinn.org/horse-profiles/.
❄️ Know Before You Go: Safety and Comfort Tips
To ensure a safe and enjoyable evening for all visitors and our animals:
Footwear First! The trail is a natural dirt path that may be uneven, muddy, or potentially icy in winter weather. Please wear warm, closed-toe boots or sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting a little earthy.
Dress Warmly! This is an outdoor event in the evening during winter. Layer up with warm coats, hats, and gloves.
Leave Pets at Home: For the safety and comfort of our rescued animals during their evening rest, please leave your own beloved pets at home.
Accessibility Note: Please be aware that the trail is unpaved. Navigating with wheelchairs, strollers, or wagons on the uneven, wooded path is at your own discretion. Please proceed with caution.
Keep it Clean and Green: No smoking, vaping, or alcohol is permitted on the property. Please use the provided receptacles for trash.
Do Not Feed Animals: Our rescues are on special diets and it is important for their well-being to stick to them. Feeding does not occur during fundraisers other than the hay we provide to them.
