Come and step into a fairy tale as you meet our rescued equines here at the sanctuary. The horses will be outside where you can enjoy meeting them. Along the trail, look for hidden fairies, unicorns, and dragons. The trail is a dirt path that is about a half-mile long. Please wear appropriate footwear. There is a slight hill at the beginning.

Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This is a donation-based fundraiser to help with the care and upkeep of the horses and donkey. There are NO tickets to purchase in advance to enter the event. Your DONATIONS are greatly appreciated for us to continue to rescue equines and give them a second chance to enjoy life and just be a horse.

Our equines are older, injured, or retired horses that were either owner surrenders or rescued from the kill pen; these are not riding horses. They are so wonderful and love attention. You can read about our rescues here on the sanctuary: https://www.hayburrinn.org/horse-profiles/.

  • Please wear your mask.

  • Please keep your social distance (6 feet apart).

  • Please bring your hand sanitizer and use it. We will have it available but we are a rescue providing for equines.

If you are interested in helping with the event or decorating the trail, download our volunteer event form and e-mail the completed form to volunteer@hayburrinn.org.
