Come dressed up in your costumes, meet our equines on the Sanctuary, walk the Haunted Trail and get a little spooked. Three dates to walk the Haunted Trail - Sunday, October 10th, Saturday, October 23rd, and Friday, October 29, 2021, from 6 pm to 9 pm.

We do not set an age for this event. This is completely up to parental discretion. We have families of all ages attend our haunted trail. We do ask our performers to be mindful of age so all can enjoy it.

The trail is about a half-mile long with different paths to take. So you may walk the trail more than once.

Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This is a donation-based fundraiser to help with the care and upkeep of the horses and donkey. There are NO tickets to purchase in advance to enter the event. Your DONATIONS are greatly appreciated for us to continue to rescue equines and give them a second chance to enjoy life and just be a horse.

Our equines are older, injured, or retired horses that were either owner surrenders or rescued from the kill pen; these are not riding horses. They are so wonderful and love attention. You can read about our rescues here on the sanctuary: https://www.hayburrinn.org/horse-profiles/.

Please adhere to COVID regulations that are in effect at the time of the event.

If you are interested in helping with decorating the trail, or helping out at the event, download our volunteer event form. If you are interested in being an actor/cosplayer on the trail, please download the actor form. E-mail the completed form to volunteer@hayburrinn.org.

If you need to call, please call or text 860.932.2092. Please understand that on event day we are busy preparing and may not be able to answer or reply within the same day. If your question is regarding the event, please refer to the information here first. Thank you and we can't wait to see you.
