Grounds Keeper & Maintenance

Role Description

We are looking for volunteers to help with the grounds appearance at the farm. Grounds keeper will be responsible for the plants, trail and the barn.

Person does not need to have experience to excel in this position. Training is available. Just be willing to learn and not have a fear of getting dirty. 

The goal is to ensure that our organization is showing the best face for all who come to visit and to ensure the grounds are kept up and keep a welcoming and inviting experience to all our guests.  


Responsibilities

●    Maintain Gardens which includes planting, weeding and watering

●    Keep trail free of debris

●    Help with decorations for the trail fundraising events

●    Help with various projects around the farm involved with the appearance and function of the farm

●    Keep barn tidy which includes but not limited, sweeping, removing webs and cleaning tack periodically.

●    Assist with preparation and clean-up after an event.

●    To assist during fundraising events at the farm which may include attending to the trail or assisting with traffic.

●    Assist with small construction projects on the property.

●    Assist with fencing.

●    Record Hours of Volunteering

●    Utilize Barn Help Google Calendar when coming to the barn
