Equine Trainer
Role Description
Spend time with the equines, hone manners, exercise and support volunteers in working with the equines.
Skills & Abilities
- Help with chores prior to training 
- Assist equines with in adapting to saddles and bridles 
- Assist in resolving behavioral problems 
- Teach equines to perform various exercises 
- Assist in Grooming 
- Support volunteers who want to learn how to read body language of equines, correct behavior and also assist with training. 
- Fundraisers & Events - Participate and be an advocate for our equines at fundraisers. 
- Keeping to the Mission of Hay Burr Inn Rescue & Sanctuary

On-Site Training
- Training will be providing on the site and by someone of senior level for barn care. 
- Supervision as well as feedback will be provided on a continual basis to provide support as needed. 
How to Become an Equine Trainer
- We request to put in at least 10 hours on a weekly basis.
